New Castle, Delaware, often referred to as Old New Castle, dates back to 1682 with the arrival of William Penn. The community is home to dozens of Colonial era homes, the historic market green and the old courthouse. During the summer the community offers free summer concerts at Battery Park on the riverfront, Separation Day festivities (celebrating Delaware’s official separation from the British) and A Day in Old New Castle, which sees some of the historic homes opened to the public.
New Castle offers residents a range of housing options, from country estates to single-family homes including colonials, ranches, and townhomes.
