Rehoboth Beach, Delaware sits along the Atlantic Ocean in eastern Sussex County, just south of Lewes and Cape Henlopen State Park. Rehoboth Beach is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in Delaware – and for good reason! Rehoboth offers it’s residents the quintessential beachtown experience, low property taxes, and no sales tax, all while being located in the TOP ranked school district in the state.
Local’s refer to Rehoboth as the “Nation’s Summer Capital” due to the influx of visitors from Washignton, DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Rehoboth, however, is far from a summers-only tourist destination. Rehoboth packs a lot into one square mile of beachfront property, making it a great place to live year-round! There is a vibrant arts and cultural scene that includes numerous small private galleries, The Rehoboth Art League, the Bandstand, and The Rehoboth Beach Museum. And there’s no shortage of lively bars, great restaurants and quaint coffee shops. If you like to shop (who doesn’t?!), check out the many retail options in town or head out to Route 1 for some Grade-A outlet stores. Rehoboth Beach truly has something for everyone!
Housing in Rehoboth consists primarily of single-family homes and a few condo communities. If you want to live beach-front, the phrase “million-dollar view” is apt! However you’ll find lower price points if you head a little further inland.
